very nice rifle. Easily carried in wooded areas, due to which shorter size. Very nice finish on the stock and metal components. Action does not get extremely loose after repeated firing, like some other actions I’ve owned. So far this is my only Rossi, and I’m very satisfied with it

polished the internals and receiver around the load gate.replaced the springs.Absolutely would buy again in different caliber.

Awesome rifle - incredibly accurate - makes a nice addition to my lever action collection. I also have the full-size Rossi R92 - both of them shoot well, feed 38 and 357 with no problems. Love it.

Nice lever action, clasic look and feel, first thing I changed the rear sight. Rossi makes a peep sight for this model. Buds made it easy baught through layaway once paid off delivery was fast.

Thank you Bud's for providing terrific service. I received my rifle in perfect condition. I fired it for the first time today, 12/22/23. I used 38 Special Ammunition, HPJ and some standard lead ball. The loading gate has some very sharp edges and I had to be careful loading as my thumb took some bad scrapes. I am considering filing some of those edges down just to keep from cutting myself or maybe designing my own speed loader or thumb protector. I have seen a few videos on YouTube where owners of this rifle have had the same complaint. It fires very nice though and I didn't have to make any sight adjustments. My intent is to have this piece ready for home defence as well as rifle range fun. The action is smooth but loading is a bit stiff. I had trouble sliding the rounds in to the tube magazine while watching the sharp edges. (I could see lead flakes as they were scratched off. Despite loading and the sharp edges, I enjoyed shooting it. I have hopes I will get it well broken in and the loading difficulties will be resolved without modifying the tube magazine spring.

I bought this the other day because I got tired of waiting for a Henry so I would settle for the Rossi. Very pleased with the Rossi. maybe not as smooth as a Henry but pretty dang close. Came on time to my ffl. Fit and finish is great. Only thing is I did not need the big loop but hey looks nice to me. I would recommend a Rossi for anyone looking for a nice rifle.
