I purchased my Colt Anaconda 6 inch new model from Bud’s Guns layaway program. I bought the six inch model so I could get it quad ported by Mag-Na-Port and have sufficient barrel length for powder to burn effectively after porting. I upgraded to a Wilson Combat steel Target adjustable sight and also an extra height steel gold bead front sight for heavier loads over 320 grains in this great hunting revolver. A Bowen Classic Arms stainless steel lanyard ring was installed by my gunsmith. The polymer white grip was added too. With the new 2020 model Colt Python action installed on the 2020 Colt Anaconda, only enlarged, the new model Colt Anaconda is heads and shoulders above the original Colt Anaconda that was discontinued. I recommend this new model Colt Anaconda with my full support and endorsement.

This Anaconda ecceded my expectations... What a beautiful piece of firearms workmanship. I fully expected to put this gun in my rotaion but I may make this one a safe queen... For a while any way, 😉 As always Buds was easy to work with... Will not hesitate to order from them again.

The 6-inch Colt Anaconda was the first of three revolvers I purchased from Buds in the last 4 weeks. This is an absolutely beautiful revolver. The fit and finish were excellent. The function was flawless. The trigger in SA and DA is a nicer trigger pull than any non-custom shop revolver I've shot in my last 47 years of shooting. I was shooting some 180 grain / 1600 FPS ammo and the at an indoor range and it was accurate. The other guys there were shooting 45 ACP and 9 MM. After I fired the Anaconda I heard a guy at the farthest right lane yell "OMG, what was that?" That amused me. About a week after I ordered the 6-inch Anaconda, I also ordered the 4.25-inch Anaconda. On 20 December 2024 I ordered a Ruger Redhawk 45 Long Colt. I anticipate that the Ruger will be here init just a couple more days for shipping. I've been on a roll ordering stuff from Buds lately, and I'm glad I ordered all three of them. Buds was superior for ease of ordering and timeliness with shipping. As for the two new Anacondas, I love them. I'm quite glad that I own them.
