TL:DR Affordable, reliable, and customizable (which you'll want to do). Well done indeed Remington.
Bias warning: this was my first gun and I'm still extremely fond of it.
The Good: Everything from the bolt assembly to the barrel is rugged and simple. Even the trigger assembly is durable despite being built like a Swiss watch (that you can adjust for trigger pull weight). The scope is nothing to write home about, but it does the job. Also, there is an entire world of customizable options for every aspect of this rifle.
The Bad: The magazine uses a spring latch to lock in and does not always feed with each bolt cycle (maybe 2% of the time).
The Ugly: The stock is a lightweight plastic polymer that offers no attachments beyond a sling. But to Remington's credit, they did embed pillars for stabilization and accuracy.

I've been hunting with this rifle for I believe 4 years now. It came with a premounted scope, and the scope quality was poor(lenses were very cloudy). Not buds fault obviously as the rifle came standard from Remington this way. I put a different scope on it for the second year, and haven't missed a deer since. Great quality rifle, with a very great price point. Also, I ordered online, and had the rifle in my hands after I paid it off within 4 days. All around, very great rifle, not even mad about the initial scope, made for a great toy for my boy.

Overall I'm very pleased very compact feels great shouldering I really like the magazines. Only complain I have bolt is a little stiff Hoping when I shoot it more It will loosen up .accuracy is real good. Great little rifle for the money

I have no doubt that this gun shoots better than I do. That said, I missed four deer because I pulled the first round in the dark and failed to pull the bolt back the ENTIRE way. This leads to "click" instead of the desired "bang". The first two were lined up shoulder to shoulder less than 30 feet away. It has otherwise been an excellent rifle but I'll never load it in the dark again.

What a beast. I've put 30 rounds through this gun. After walking the 1st 7 rounds around the 33" x 24" silhouette paper target, I was putting overlapping shots down on top of each at other 50 yards while using a rolled up sleeping bag as my rest with Core-Lokt 150gr. I switched to $2.00/round copper ammo and was laying them down into the exact same pattern. My guess is that you can feed it anything. The stock scope will get the job done. It's not great but is exactly what I need. I won't replace it. The fit and finish are fine. I like the 20" barrel. Gives it a sleek, compact look. I'm very pleased.
