BUL Armory Axe Cleaver 9mm Pistol - 17+1 Rounds

This pistol was a surprising and refreshing break from most of the striker fired guns I've shot over the years. With every conceivable part being interchangeable with the Gen3 and Gen4 Glock 17, you wouldn't expect it to deliver much of a different shooting experience, but it definitely does. Think Gucci-Glock with ALL the quality, but at an equal to lower price than a factory Glock. 1) The sights (although simple 3 dot) are better. 2) The slide is esthetically nicer and offers better grip. 3) The trigger is lighter, with less take-up. 4) The mag-well is flared the perfect amount. Not so excessive as a competition pistol, but enough that popping in the next magazine is quicker and easier than a typical duty pistol. 5) The stainless steel barrel uses standard rifling and has a more fully supported chamber so shooting bare lead or +P+ ammo won't give you an unexpected 'ka-boom' like a certain other brand has developed a reputation (however well earned or true, I can neither confirm nor deny) for. 6) The grip-frame has texturing that looks more aggressive than it is. It's not 'gritty' like an M&P so it won't 'bite' your hand under recoil, but it's substantial enough that it would slip and slide around in your hand either if you have sweaty hands. 7) It's very accurate and recoil is very mild with even the stoutly ammo. I fired everything from ICC brand, 100 grain Frangible HP's to Buffalo Bore 115 grain XTP +P+ through it and it was 100% reliable and on target. The only ammo that didn't hit to point-of-aim was Sinterfire brand, 100 grain Frangible HP. The group was among the best, but it was about 4 inches low and 2 inches left of the bullseye at 10 yards. I can't adjust the fixed sights, but considering how well all the other ammo did, I'm not going to fault the pistol for the performance of one brand of ammo. 8) The only potential negative is that the gun may be a little boring because it's so easy and predictable to shoot. Get a good grip with proper form, squeeze the trigger, and a few pounds of pressure later, it does the rest and it does it very consistently. Excellent pistol, especially for the price!

This firearm is outstanding... Glock 17 optioned out with a much better grip angle and texture. Trigger is incredible with smooth take up and crisp short break and reset... A+++ I have put 250 rounds of various ammo types.. "0" malfunctions and incredible accuracy. Very tight tolerances and impeccable fit and finish... I have already ordered another one ..... The Best striker fired hand gun you can get for under a $1000.00.... Period....Thanks Bud.... perfectly happy with this purchase..

Bul Armory really has something going here. The Cleaver is the right gun for a duty that looks good. Feels way better in the hand than a glock but takes all the mags I already had. Get you one.
