I purchased this weapon to carry off duty as our duty weapon (Sig P220R) is just too big, and what fun is it not to have something different to carry?! I did some research and decided on the Ruger because the price and the quality just seemed like they couldn't be beat. When I got to my FFl I was a little disheartened because the rep there told me he handled the gun and did not like how it felt or the fact it was "top heavy" and that Ruger's in general are not good guns. I took this with a grain of salt because everyone is entitled to their opinion and my family has been buying Ruger's for 25 years and loves them. The gun felt GREAT in my hand, the polymer is the same you will find on a Glock or Springfield. I did notice it was top heavy but that is to be expected because the slide is thick and made of steel. I got it to the range and WOW, I put 500 rounds through it of decent grade ammo as well as reloads and did not have one stove pipe or FTF. I know trust this gun to carry off duty with my life, my families, and the public. As always Bud's was awesome and I have already put two more guns on 90 day layaway.

Just picked up my Ruger P345 yesterday and I am very happy with it. The grip is great for my small hands. The "fit and finish" is wonderful and the pistol meets all my expectations of Ruger. I did have a problem with my mags not falling free. In fact I had to forcefully pull them out each time. But I found that the hammer pivot pin was not completely seated and after pushing it in about a 1/16th the mags pop right out like they should. I would recommend this pistol for anybody looking for a quality single stack 45 ACP pistol.

WOW what service! Bud's does it again. This is the second time I have purchased from Bud's, service and delivery were GREAT. I ordered my P345 on November 26th and It was delivered on November 29th....So fast that I didn't know it was at the dealers until I call Bud's to get an update on the delivery. Now to the gun, I just got back from the firing range. Gun preformed well, no problems at all. Cycled 100 rounds through it and was please with the performance. I will continue to purchase my guns through Bud's.

First off as im sure you all know, buds was great top notch and lightning fast all in one, not to mention the best price around on the p345 so with that aside now to the ruger. Simply put the best bang for your buck on a modern 45. Extensive safety features but most can be avoided or not used if desired. If you like the extensive safety features then will be pleased as well. Safety key lock is great for house with kids present also mag safety feature is nice knowing that if ever in a struggle/confrontation with someone going for your gun can release mag easily and even with one in the chamber will not fire. So with safety aside now to the rest. The accuracy right out of the box is amazing, each time to the range groups get tighter and tighter (more shooter improvement than breaking in/like i said accuracy is great right out of the box). Gun is light and slim for a 45 with very minimal kick. Able to get back on target quickly. I consider myself a novice and was a little weary about purchasing a 45 cal but no regrets here what so ever, simply put if you are considering this great piece then no hesitation or further research needed. Purchase and you will be please. Have put over 600 rounds through the ruger and only had a couple fail feeds and was a certain mags fault (4th shot wouldnt feed, lubed and never had a problem/was not mag that is included with purchase of p345) Ejecting groups are dead on every time all within a 2-feet of each other. If your looking for person protection, ccw, personal collection or just a nice range gum the big power and a low kick or anything in between then this is for you.. Will be back to buds and as always ruger is the best bang you will get for your buck

I was checking around for a new CCW in .45 acp and did some homework on this pistol. One of the first guys to respond to me called it a "decent entry level" pistol. He had me a little unsettled, as I wasn't looking for an "entry level" pistol at all, but a dependable pistol to use as my primary CCW. The P345 arrived today, and it is clear to see that this is no entry level gun. Is it simple? ...Yes. Easy to field strip and clean? ...Yes. If that makes it entry level, bring on some more. I'm accustomed to my Colt 1911, but it's really too heavy & bulky to consider for a CCW gun. This p345 is lighter and slimmer. It did not let me down. I immediately put 100 rounds through it in an effort to just break it in. It appears the break-in period is not necessary, as the pistol is dead on right out of the box. Am I impressed? ...Yes! I only ranked it with 5 stars because there was no 6th star to check. Have no doubts...This is a quality pistol.

Really a good shooter, I have run about 400 rds through it: Federal FMJ, Magtech FMJ & JHP and Remington JHP Golden Sabre's. Not one qlitch. Best things about this firearm though, is it's made in the USA and Bud's. I'm not prejudice, I own Glocks, Sig Sauers and want HK's and Beretta's, but I truly appreciate well made American firearms and Ruger got this one right. I don't like that it won't fire with the clip out but, I will live with that. Thanks Bud's. Dave

I bought mine used from Bud's and it is an excellent pistol. It came with 3 magazines; this is a great pistol and Bud's made it even better...

Great gun. We have put hundreds of rounds through this gun and have not had the first problem, even with cheap ammo.
