Purchase and delivery process was smooth. The rifle went to my FFL that was included in the list of participating FFL's with no problem.

Finally had a chance to take this rifle to the club and sight it in. I matched it with a Leupold VX-6HD 2-12X42 scope and Barnes Vor-TX 168 grain ammo. I started at 50 yards first to make sure it was on the paper and then took it to the 100 yard range, and I had it sighted in with only 8 rounds total. The trigger is great! This isn't the most attractive rifle but it shoots great!

This is a nice rifle but the receiver does not fit well into the stock. There is a gap o1f approximately 3/16 of an inch where the safety meets the stock. I can't believe Savage would ship a rifle with this issue. This is a new rifle. I expected better from savage. I have looked forward to purchasing this rifle for some time and was given the money as a Christmas present. Very disappointed.
