There's just something special about an old school blued 1911. I've had several 9mm 1911's and this one is by far the best for the money. I had a 9mm Dan Wesson Valor that was slightly nicer in fit/finish, but it was more than twice the cost. For the price, it's hard to beat a Springfield. My Garrison is accurate, 100% reliable, looks good, has a decent trigger (a little on the heavy side but very predictable and fine for self-defense), great 3-dot sites, and since its in 9mm its a super soft gun to shoot. Plus, with the price of 45 these days its nice to have cheaper 9mm 1911 to shoot and it also works great as a competition gun. Buds was also great to deal with (as usual). They always have great communication and fast shipping.

Took the Springfield Armory Garrison 1911 9mm to the range for the first time, and it performed as advertised. 100 rounds with absolutely no problem. Factory and third party mags used and again, no problem. The fit and finish is fine, trigger pull smooth and light, grip great with my small hands, and probably had my best results in some time. Sights appear to point a little high, but could be my normal bi-focal sight line, and arthritic grip (78 years old). Man next to my lane at the range, saw and heard the SA and commented on how close my groups were. He asked about the gun and I offered him a chance to shoot it, and he was as impressed as I was. He will probably be contacting BUD's when he sells some of his older pistols. This was my first purchase from BUD's, and the procedure was easy to follow, and BUD's automatically honored my state's tax free holiday weekend offer, where a popular gun shop in Texas would not. I will be a faithful BUD's customer on any future purchases due to their superior prices and service. Jimmy Ellis

I'm very pleased with this pistol. Cleaned, then put 100 rounds of run-of-the-mill, 115-grain fmj through it. No malfunctions. Sights are right on.

Have always wanted a 1911 in 9mm. I have the Springfield 1911 in 45acp and decided to my this one. What a beautiful gun. Buds made the online purchase easy and shipped it ASAP.

As usual a great high value buying experience from Bud's. Delivery was fast and secure to my FFL. The Garrison 1911 9MM had some flaws (5) right out of the box and was sent to Springfield Armory for repair. I received the gun back from SA warranty center and they had fixed 3 of the 5 issues. The Garrison was sent back after shooting another 500 rds to make sure I was doing my part. The Garrison is now back with SA gunsmiths and I am awaiting the firearms return. I have several Springfield Armory firearms, all great guns, but this one is an anomaly in my opinion.

Beautifully crafted 1911. Very accurate. Soft shooting. For the $$$, it is disappointing to only get one magazine.
