Made with serious respect to John Browning Classic design, The MCP35 pays homage to one of the most widely used military handgun designs in the World. Built on a steel frame and slide, the MCP35 boasts a 15+1 capacity in a staggered column magazine. . Built on a steel frame and slide. Originally designed as a military pistol, it necessitated extreme accuracy and the Girsan MC P35 does not disappoint. The short recoil 9mm, 4 5/8 barrel, along with the slide, allow for quick second shot resets, getting the shooter on target faster. The rear sight is a windage drift adjustable sight and the front is a dovetail sight. The traditional slim trigger allows for a short trigger reset and is accessible even while wearing gloves and the serrated ring hammer provides a positive grip while cocking. Enhanced external controls include external extractor, ambidextrous safety, and magazine disconnect safety.

Girsan. Has a way to go to make this a favorite. Shoots better than expected. Taking it down to clean is a bear

The gun looks good, and was received well packaged and well oiled. I have only fired about 25 rounds so far, with zero issues, but have done no accuracy testing. Because it has a shortened barrel and recoil spring assembly, it is very difficult to field strip the barrel from the slide. The factory instructions were of no help. They are the same ones for the full size pistol, which is constructed differently. I finally clamped the complete side assembly upside down in a padded vise, and passed a tool (pin punch) through the recoil spring guide slide stop hole. I then compressed the recoil spring toward the muzzle as far as possible. When fully compressed I was able to lift the barrel out of the slide and then relax the recoil spring slowly and remove it along with the guide. NOTE: This is opposite the way it is done on a full size Hi Power. If there is a better/easier way to do it without tools, I would love to hear it. NOTE: The recoil spring is extra strong due to it's shorter length, and the guide is full length unlike the short one on a full size HP. The instructions should have addressed this. The trigger pull out of the box is terrible, even AFTER removing the magazine disconnect safety I weighed it at 8.5 pounds gritty with a lot of creep, which is why I have not yet done any accuracy testing. I removed the sear lever from the slide and polished it. This is a cast part and was quite rough in places. Side note: It is a Mark III system, with firing pin block which kind of surprised me. I reassembled the pistol and noticed all the trigger creep was gone, and the trigger weight had dropped to 7.5 pounds. I plan to do more, one step at a time to get the trigger pull weight down, but for the price I paid, I am not going to complain. I do not like the three dot sight set up, but that is personal preference. I had to modify the plastic left side grip panel by removing some material around the magazine release in order to better reach it. The molded in thumb rest was interfering. I also removed some material around the top of the left side panel by the manual safety lever in order to better reach it. Both steps were simple to do, and looked fine after. I am trying to keep my bargain priced pistol a bargain by not running out and buying a ton of new custom parts right off the bat. Bud's price was the best around, and their service was excellent as always.

The gun is a bargain no matter how you look at it. I recently saw one of the FM Argentina detective models go for $600. And while it was in good condition its not a new unfired gun. The FM originals don't have the high power cuts either. So in terms of accuracy and looking more a high power this pistol wins. The only reason for the 4 star is the rear sight has 1 rear dot not filled in all the way. So you can see its obviously more cratered than the other 2 dots. So in my mind getting a new gun out the door for the list price of a used FM model is a WIN. Thanks buds!

Ordered and received it in just a few days. Pleasingly fast turn around. My first firearm from Turkey ( Torkive) so, really did not know what to expect. At first examination out of the box, I was very impressed with the overall appearance and workmanship of the pistol. Fit and finish were really quite good. Took it to my range and ran 150 rounds through it without a single malfunction. Fired 115 gr, 125gr, and 147gr of various makes in slow and very rapid fire modes. Worked great with acceptable practical accuracy. Only real gripe is the typically bad Browning-type trigger pull which is long, hard and gritty. Hopefully, this will smooth out some with usage as the interacting parts burnish themselves a bit. Of course, some of the trigger pull is made inherently bad or even worse by the magazine safety which, in my opinion at least, is as unnecessary as the 14 digit serial number on the right side of the dust cover. All in all, I am very pleased and consider this pistol a very good value for the price even if only one magazine comes with it. Guess the last question should be about the quality of the materials, i.e., the hardness of the steel, etc.. Well, only time will tell about that! Right now, I'm giving it at least a 4.5 star rating.

Works like it should. A little gritty tigger at first but it breaks in nicely.
