Since this is a 1911 pistol it will be a single action

Since this is a double stack 1911, it will be a single action firearm.

Hi - I live in a state with a 15 mag capacity law. Is this pistol available with 15 capacity magazines and the Hex Dragonfly Optic?

Hi George, unfortunately no. Bud's will remove the non-compliant magazines and you would need to obtian you own 15rd mags. Either that or buy the 15rd model and get your own optic. Stay safe & have a great day!

Is this from an original first batch or a more recent batch cause I heard some of the first ones had some issues

This will come pre-assembled and ready to go. Everything such as the cover plate and hardware should be included if you needed/wanted to remove the optic.

David, unfortunately at the moment Springfield doesn't make any 10 round magazines or new jersey compliant versions of this. It has been pretty popular so could definitely see them doing so in the near future. Sorry but hope this helps some.

This is a beautiful gun. But, I had two main problems. First, out of the box problems, the gun safe lock. It detached out of the base after the first five rounds causing a scratch along the rear slide. The range gunsmith fixed it doing some “mim parts” fitting. Once that was solve, I started to have the usual known problems, not cycling properly. It jammed 1 out of 5 bullets constantly. I solved that problem buying the Staccato P 20 rounds Magazine. Now the gun is working beautifully. I hope this review helps you to decide. For BUDS 5 stars. Amazing service and transfer process.

First let me say no problem what so ever with the service from Buds Gun Supply. I recently purchased the Springfield Prodigy with the Hex Dragonfly red dot sight. Could not zero the red dot sight and had to send it back to Springfield Armory. Now the weapon will not cycle correctly all the time and going to have to send the weapon back. Wished I would have done more research cause I wouldn't have purchased it.
