First of all - Buds is always awesome - quick shipping to my FFL and good updates throughout the shipping process. I own several .22 revolvers, but most are single action so I thought it might be good to try a double action. The ability to add a .22 magnum cylinder was a plus. However, I am not impressed at all with this firearm. It has good weight and balance but the trigger is about the worst I have fired, especially double action. Mine shot about 3" to the right at 10 yards, which unfortunately, cannot be adjusted. Nothing in this pistol is smooth and I will tell you for the price, the single action Heritage revolvers I own are much smoother for about half the price (if you are looking for a budget .22 revolver). After about 2 weeks and 3 trips to the range, I have already traded the Diamondback on a proper double action revolver (S&W 617). I will certainly continue to buy from Buds!

I purchased this because of the .22 Mag combo option. I own Heritage versions of the same gun and I figured I’d give this a try. For starters it’s a nice gun…but it needed some tweaking. The rounds would not eject without slamming in the eject rod so I took a brass cleaning brush and attached it to a drill and drilled the crap out of the cylinders. This opened them up pretty good and they only stick a little now. Also, I had the bend the front sight with some pliers because it shot way left. If I were to pick between this and the Heritage I’d probably do the Heritage but it’s not a bad little gun.

Great gun for the price, 9 shots is a plus. Went to the range and fired about 100 22LR and 50 22magnum. At the beginning it was a bit hard on both single action and the double action was extremely hard. After a while it got easier. The timing was off at the beginning but it got better after a while. Thanks buds.

Purchased this about 10 months ago and have shot a few hundred rounds. I am impressed. I have owned both the Heritage 9 22/22Mag cowboy revolver and the Ruger version. I will say.. I have sold both of those and will keep this one. I was lucky to get one that shoots dead straight.. just a little low.. a few (30 or so) strokes with a file to lower the front sight and this thing now will pop pests like nobody's business. I love the midnight bronze and the fact that it is a SWING OUT cylinder is SO much better than a loading gate. Easier to clean and very quick to swap out the cylinder for the 22LR.. (it comes with BOTH). For those of you are SLIGHTLY Dremel inclined... you can add a Hogue grip and this thing is comfortable!! you just have to measure carefully and drill a small hole in the frame to anchor the grip screw assembly.. you will see what I mean when you take the stock grips off. Best of luck to you all! Love this plinker with 22LR.. and this can be a dang good defense weapon when you drop the 22MAG cylinder in. Semper Fortis!

I like the sidekick it works for me. I like the swing-out cylinder virus the remove change type that I found with Heritage .22lr and .22mag
