TH45 .45 ACP Black 4.25" 13+1 - Blue/Black, 4.25" Barrel, 13+1 Rounds

This a refreshed model of the PT845, which I owned back in 2010. The old model had front serrations (this one does not), and the slide finish was much better than this model. However, the grip and texture are better in this new model. I see that Taurus has dramatically improved, and the prices are very reasonable. You get a lot for what you pay. I believe the price may come down a bit after the hype. I liked that they still give you plastic hard cases with other accessories. The trigger is much what you should expect from a double/single hammer fire pistol. The four stars were given because of the slide finish, leaving much to be desired. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. Nonetheless, a good buy for a .45 ACP weapon.

The much acclaimed Taurus TH45. Fit and finish is the worst of any gun purchased in the last 10 yrs. The barrel looks like a failing grade from a high school shop class. All marred up and has grooves in it that I don’t understand any purpose for and have never seen on any other barrel. Whatever coating is applied to the barrel is sort of rough and sticky feeling even after a thorough cleaning. Barrel actually looks galvanized with a rough dull silver finish. Slide finish is also already marred out of the box and frankly the finish just looks like flat black spray paint. Garage tactical. Have not even been to the range yet and already fed up just doing an initial cleaning and inspection. So I guess time will tell. Maybe it’s a stellar shooter and I’ll be delighted with the lousy fit and finish. Lots of hype that so far escapes me.

Ordered on a Monday, got it on a Wednesday, off for the weekend…couldn’t ask for a better week outside of hitting this current lottery 😂. The trigger pull on the DA isn’t as stiff as I’d thought it would be and she feels excellent in the hands. Grip texture isn’t too rough, love the ambi controls, and I’ll truly put her to the test this weekend.
