SDS Imports Tisas 1911 Carry Black with Picatinny Rail 9mm Pistol - 9+1 Rounds

This gun has been flawless. I couldn't be happier.

Nothing negative here. A heavy, all forged steel 1911. I picked 9mm because I'm thrifty and have several other pistols in the same caliber. Not immediately suitable for carry, but it stands watch next to my bed. I will likely replace the sights with some Truglo TFX Pro, and G10 grips. Feature rich, good value, accurate, with a great trigger.This will not be the only Tisas 1911 that I own.

Overall fit & finish is very good given it’s price. Good trigger, good tight slide movement, and it is surprisingly accurate. I pulled an approximate 2-1/2” grouping at about 20 meters using 124gr Win wht box. Downside is that it has had all kinds of issues extracting the round and keeps ejecting casings at 12 o’clock right into my face, regardless of ammo type. So far I have put about 1k of various ammo through it. Second is the included magazines are less then satisfactory, in fact one won’t even top off or it lodges the follower inside of the mags housing. After a new tuned extractor and some better magazines it has been an outstanding range option but not something I would recommend as a concealed carry option, the reliability (for me) compared to other 1911’s just isn’t there yet. (keyword there is YET). I would highly recommend this to learn 1911s or something to tinker with but not to carry for CCW/CPL. There’s just too many other options that work a lot better for only $100-$300 more.
