R50 stands for Rifle - 50 Rounds in complementing contrast to the P50, the pistol version of the same platform. This carbine features a side-folding stock that rests nicely on either side of the grip when folded and a ½ x 28 threaded - 16 inch barrel. It does come with some utility sights that are adjustable for windage and elevation, however the R50 receiver offers over 7 inches of picatinny rail space up top for mounting just about any optic or accessory you like. 2 inches of rail space on the bottom is ideal for light and grip options. There’s a QD sling cup just above the magazine release for mounting a single point sling and the AR style charging handle offers smooth manipulation.

Fun range gun. Accurate, easy to shoot, eye catcher. I have no complaints. Virtually no recoil. I would definitely recommend this firearm to others.

Overall I'm very satisfied with the product. As always buds delivery was very satisfactory. The only problem I have with the gun itself is loading the magazine it's crazy hard. Shoots perfectly no complaints very well satisfied with it. A lot of bang for the buck.

I purchased this as a cheap introduction to a PS 90 and 5.7 x 28. After owning it it's unusual a little bulky and kind of crazy. I don't see myself shooting it very much but I do see it becoming a possible rare collectors item because I don't think the sales will take off on this piece and will probably go the calico route. Either way it's an okay gun.

Arrived in a timely manner in mint condition. The unit will no doubt be a valuable addition to my home security program. It is as advertised. I do, however, plan to be frugal with range time; not because of the cost of ammunition, but because loading mags for this sucker is a labor of love, even with a loading tool. I can't imagine loading a magazine without a loading tool. Take my word for it.

Looking for a carbine in 5.7 that wouldn’t break the bank. So far, so good. I’m a little concerned with the charging handles durability, but being careful should help. The foldable stock is unique and works okay for what it is. Removing the magazine is different, but once you figure it out, it is okay. Uses the FN90 magazines which is nice. Accuracy isn’t bad. Shooting the 5.7 is a pleasure with almost no recoil. Matches great with my 5.7 FN, with 70 rounds between the two. I am not using the R50 as a defensive weapon, but for plinking, so it is fine. As always, Buds was prompt on shipping to FFL.

I love this thing. Jeez, a 50 round magazine!!! It will be great for backpack of kayak. So far it has fed reliably. While it has iron sights, I couldn't get down low enough to see through them. So I will get a red dot or flip up, or both. While many KelTec's have poor fit and finish, I only found one spet that gave me problems. It has an ambi safety lever. On the right side there is a little sharp spot that I will need to file or cover with something.
