Yes, BUT not without modifications. The Ruger ReadyDot Reflex Optic is designed specifically for a Shield RMSc footprint. Since the standard Ruger Security-9 slide is NOT factory-milled for optics, you will need to purchase an aftermarket dovetail mounting plate to attach it. Key Details for Your Setup: The Footprint: The ReadyDot utilizes the standard Shield RMSc footprint. The Challenge: The standard Ruger Security-9 comes with a solid slide and is not optics-ready. You will need to swap out your rear sight for a dovetail adapter plate that converts the sight channel to an RMSc footprint (such as aftermarket plates from Amazon or EGW). Optic Specs: The ReadyDot is a fixed, battery-free optic. It features a large 15 MOA dot that gathers ambient light and cannot be zeroed, making exact alignment on the slide critical. The Ruger ReadyDot Optic is an easy-to-use micro reflex sight system designed to co-witness on Ruger's MAX-9® pistol. The fiber illuminated reticle adjusts to varying light conditions and has been specifically designed for battery-less operation at typical concealed carry pistol ranges. This creates a red dot system that is easier to acquire and stay on target, all without worrying about batteries. The 1X reflex sight is fixed in both elevation and windage and the highly visible dot facilitates fast target acquisition. The sight includes a T10 Torx® Wrench and (2) M4x0.7 8mm screws for installing the sight on the MAX-9 only. NOTE: The ReadyDot™ Optic mounts with a standard RMSc footprint. Be aware of differences in screw specifications, adaptor plates and mounts between different optics-ready pistols. I like the sight. Works good just little more time at the range I’ll dial it in. The pic is my first time shooting with the sight. The red dot is a little big. Buds is really a great place to order all your guns an ammo an accessories from. I recommend Buds 100%.

Optic arrived quickly. Thought shipping, handling, and insurance fees were excessive,( Buds). Optic was easy to install and it's very easy to use. My Springfield Hellcat Pro Tritium sights (co witness with the optic) preform well at night in low light, the large 15 MOA RED DOT. Easy to sight with aging eyes. Very pleased with it.
