Although it says it's "FOR" the full sized.... will it "FIT" in the 3.8 compact??? You must know FOR SURE. You have to actually try it. Not guess, not "read it somewhere." But actually do it with your own hands.

Hi Jeremy and welcome. Unfortunately, no, it will not work in the 3.8. I have the full sized XDM Elite 10mm and the 3.8 and the barrel only fits the 4.5 model. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

Springfield Armory includes a thread-protecting cap with every XD-M barrel kit. These caps ensure the threads are not damaged when you do not have a muzzle accessory attached.

Rate of twist of the XD-M barrels is 1:16” for 10mm, the 10mm barrel 4.45 oz. The 10mm barrel sport .578×28 threading. The barrels are a drop-in fit for not only XD-M Elite pistols, but all applicable XD-M models as well.

Springfield Armory makes some of the highest quality stuff for the price. Only drawback to this one is that it sticks way out in the XDM elite compact. I haven’t found a threaded barrel for the compact model anywhere yet.

Awesome barrel, fit my XDM Elite 10mm perfect. I mated it with a Springer Precision compensator to try and tame the 10mm recoil a bit. Very pleased

Barrel dropped right in and fit perfect. I have run 300 rounds of mixed 10mm- underwood 180xtp, 150nosler, aac 180, blazer180- and no malfunctions. Accuracy is on par.
