I was hesitant about purchasing this gun as Rossi has not always been known for making quality rifles, however, after watching many YouTube reviews I decided to give this one a shot. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the fit and finish of this rifle. Also the action is super smooth, even better than my Henry 30-30. For the price this gun is well worth it. I went with the shorter trapper version as a woods or brush gun. I have yet to shoot it but it feels good on the hand, is balanced extremely well, and sights are easy to pick up. Haven’t decided if I want to mount an optic yet, I may just keep it clean and old fashioned. 100% you won’t be disappointed with this gun. Only thing I would change is I wish it came in a teak or light grey color.
