I checked the website and couldn't find information regarding the use of modern ammo like buffalo bore and Underwoods. I don't want to be stuck using lower pressure cowboy loads hunting. Can these safely use the modern higher pressure loads?

i would not use heavy ammo in the rossi if you want to shoot heavy loads i recommend Henry and Marlin

Love this gun, took it to gun range and at 100 yards it is right on with open sights, I love the sights on this gun easy to see through.

This is a superbly made duplication of the former Marlin 1894 in .45-70, other than it does not have the octagon barrel. Operating mechanicals are very smooth and easy to actuate. Ejection is strong and positive. The usual .45-70 recoil is well-attenuated by the think recoil pad. For the price, you cannot make a mistake with this one!
