This rifle checked all the boxes for a left hand shooter. The adjustable cheek riser and LOP spacers really help customize the gun to the shooter. The trigger is fairly light and crisp. My first three shot group at 100 yards was right at 3/4 inch, and I'm not even through the barrel break-in process, nor an accomplished shooter. Bergara does have a barrel break-in procedure, so if you will need all the tools necessary to do that, including a formulation for copper fouling. For a 22-250, it is a pretty stout platform with the naked rifle coming in at about 7.5 lbs. It is certainly going to go towards 9-10 lbs. as you add the needed accessories to make it hunt ready. With that weight, felt recoil is minimal. Overall, it's just a good looking gun, and from my early shooting experience, it looks like has the potential to shoot way above it's price point. My only negative comments and it's minor. The selector button from fire to safe is sticky and requires too much effort. From safe to fire is smooth and easy. For the money, I would like to have seen a tool less cheek riser adjustment, especially since you are cleaning so many times early. I had to recess it each time to get the bore guide in. Flush cups would have been another cool feature to make the gun stand out. None of these items detract enough from the rifle for me to give it less than five stars at this point.
