To whom it may concern: This is a dual gas piston style shotgun. Saw some folks calling it a inertia shotgun. This shotgun NEEDS TO BE BROKEN IN. Do NOT buy it and just throw it in the closet for looks. Clean it when you get it, run 100 rounds through it, heavy rounds. This shotgun was designed to run heavy rounds but once you wear it in, it will generally shoot anything. My first 50 rounds, the RIO brand shells were choking it up pretty good. Had lots of loading gate malfunctions. Had to SHOVE them in with absolutely force just to get them in the tube then was having jams and failure to ejects. Threw some federal bird shots in it, didn’t have any loading gate issues, did have a few failure to ejects though but was running way better than before. I shot approximately 80 rounds through it NON STOP over and over until I had no more ammo left, barrel was skin burning hot, now it seems to be functioning and working like a dream. Haven’t had any loading issues, no ejection issues or feeding issues, im shooting remington extra long range out of it now (for close range obviously). Would I recommend it? Yes. But semi automatic style shotguns need to be broken in. It’s not like a pump. The mechanics need to be warmed up, cleaned, lubed, the metals need to expand. Otherwise, this was a dream shotgun i didnt even realize

This is my first semiauto shotgun and it hasn’t disappointed me yet. I’m about 200 rounds through it with no issues yet.

Just received this shotgun from Bud's a couple of weeks ago. Impressions out of the box....visually, it's one beautiful shotgun. The wood finish on matte black looks terrific. Due to scheduling issues, have only been able to fire about 30 rounds or so on the break-in. Decided to try Winchester & Federal 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 oz #4 shot. Ran great. Zero issues and don't anticipate any going forward. Only negatives: not much to the Owner's Manual and the charging handle & bolt release seem way too small. Gut feeling is that this will be a great shotgun at the current price point.

Recently purchased the walnut stocked version of the MAC 1014. Took it to my local range and fired birdshot, #4s, 00 buck, and slugs. I performed flawlessly. No hiccups at all, apparantly the orginal bugs have been solved. I fired approximately 50 rounds it functioned perfectly. Most of the rounds were high base shotgun rounds. Buds was great, as I have had no trouble and this the 3rd long gun I have purchased from them. Buds also had the best price.

I have just received this shotgun and have not yet fired it, but it is absolutely beautiful. I had to put a new charging handle on it but besides that it is ready to rock ‘n’ roll. Charging handle that comes is small and has a rubber piece surrounding it. Easily, my most favorite shotgun now Unless it gives me problems, which I don’t imagine that it will. I am going to shoot next weekend and if it gives me problems, I will update this review

I’m pleasantly surprised at the initial quality! Made in ISO 9001 standard factory and appears chrome lined, Benelli standard threads on extension. Has functioned 100% so far with 110 rds of mixed bird/buck and my favorite fiocchi slugs. Price & Service from Buds was excellent although for some reason they didnt want to send me the pistol grip version due to a misunderstanding of the CA law , probably by an algorithm in their software. Standard stock is my favorite anyway. The human I called was great customer service! Thank you Buds
