The Buntline model model PP558 with the inlaid silver plaque is the model I received. For the price, I had to layaway this revolver. But I think the hype on the particular revolver is a bit overrated. Since these are hard to get, the fact it was defective left me with a decision, keep it, or tell Bud's to come get it. So I kept it and called Cimarron, and they said they did not have any parts to fix. The problem was the silver inlaid plaque was crooked, it was sunk really deep on one side and the other side was above the wood grip. I'd say it was very crooked! I called Cimarron, and questioned him why would this obvious defect would escape Quality Control? He chucked and said we don't have a quality control to catch the defects. I suggested sending it to Italy, because it was the last one bud's had, I chose to take , but wish I hadn't. With the scarcity of some weapons, I wonder if defective weapons stay on the shelf longer. I ask the gent, he did not want to talk, if I could get another silver plaque and I'll have a gunsmith replace. He said we have no parts or replace parts, will there be anything else? and I need to get off the line. Sure, go do what you need to, but you know what Cimarron needs?.. some competition! click! This lowered my standards for the Cimarron revolvers, because they are simply overpriced and no guarantee it will not be defect, even if it is, Cimarron won't fix it. I do not recommend Cimarron since they do not back their products. I'll stay with Ruger!

What a great pistol! Recoil is very mild, and from 25 yards mine was dead on accurate. Fit and Finish are exceptional it is a finely put together firearm. It is very accurate to the movie firearm and just what I have imagined Wyatt might have carried.

Buds was perfect as usual. This gun is very nice , great color case hardened. The action is fantastic ,especially for a stock gun. Highly recommend for the single action fan.
