I was looking for a good gun for my wife who does not enjoy the percussion or recoil of a larger caliber gun. Trying to find something she would enjoy shooting and thus become proficient and confident in using. This fits the bill with a red dot for easy targeting and 22LR for easy handling. I tried many different brands of ammo and found 2 manufacturers that had occasional feeding issues when the gun was brand new. All other brands ran great with zero issues. After about 500 rounds this thing now eats everything with zero issues. Even the 2 brands that had issues when brand new now run flawlessly. I did add a light/laser trying to give my wife all the tools available to shoot consistently on target and the laser is what works best for her. This is my first Kel Tec but I do not think it will be my last. I am very happy with the way the gun works and how it shoots and it was a great choice for my wife.

Exceptional pistol. Ideal for plinking, target practice, and teaching new gun owners. Initially, I had second thoughts, but the P17 feels good in my hand and it is cheap to shoot. The red dot is a nice addition. As always, Buds’ customer service is the best in the business. Highly satisfied.
