After getting the M70, I decided to go the .308 M77 which is surpassing my expectations. This rifle is an absolute joy to shoot and I'm so glad I bought it. The quality is definitely there as is the accuracy and I would highly recommend this as well as the M70.

Call me old school, I’ve held out purchasing a semi-auto until this AK offered in .308 Winchester came out. I wasn’t willing to buy a Russian or Chinese AK due to politics but this Serbian pattern AK offered in .308 Winchester, well, I had to have one. Not a fan of the American made AR’s and would never own an AR-15. The stopping power of the .308 in a well built Serbian AK however is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. This rifle is well built, accurate using only the iron sights, in .308 Winchester that’s available everywhere, and fun to shoot. I would recommend this rifle to all shooters.

This is what is important to me on this product and why I got it: CHF Barrel Chrome Lined Barrel Chambered in .308 And under $1500 If we look at the PTRs, M1a, and etc, it is disappointing in what these classic takes on rifles became and what production process they cheaped out on. This guy, well the Serbs deliver a quality product.

Zastava M77 is the new favorite on the block. This is my 4th Zastava and each one is better than the last but they are all excellent fit and finish. When I unboxed this it blew me away, excellent quality, wood was phenomenal, everything tight and even had the cleaning rod. Then we went to the range and man o man this thing is accurate and had no problems whatsoever. It took a few shots to get used to but once I did I really enjoyed shooting it and the recoil was not to bad( I did change the comp though) and it was loud. I have never had a Zastava in any caliber let me down in any way and with 200 rnds. down the pipe it ran flawlessly and was just as accurate as my LR-10 that I brought. Overall this was a excellent purchase and in my opinion after owning all kinds and in all price ranges of AK's, Zastava cannot be beat and the M77 is the pinnacle of the line up. This rifle is awesome. Looks like the old M76 from Zastava, but instead of being chambered in 8mm, it runs 308. It is a solid shooter. I have put 60 rounds of FMJ through it with no issues and it rocks every round into a solid group at a 100 yards. Well, haha, for what I could tell hitting an old steel plate on the range. This is good solid rifle from Zastava and I would recommend it if you are looking for an AK platform chambered in a bigger rifle round.

The quality of this rifle is outstanding. Zastava doesn’t disappoint. Buds shipped fast despite saying there could be delays. I was skeptical of the “battle worn” finish, but actually looks great. If you are on the fence, just order it.
