I didn’t think Springfield offered the ronin with an optic cut is this something that is done outside of there factory and will it need plates to mount the optic? What is the optic cut foot print?

Featuring an unyielding commitment to strength, reliability and quality, the Ronin 1911 combines a legacy of service with the features modern shooters demand. Strength is a core element of the Ronin line, with all models offered featuring forged steel slide, hammer-forged barrels and forged frames. It features a beautiful two-tone finish, with a forged carbon steel slide featuring a beautiful hot salt bluing treatment topping off a contrasting forged frame. The rear sight combines high-visibility white dots with a "Tactical Rack" ledge for one-handed cycling of the pistol. The pistol's hybrid smooth/checkered Crossed Cannon wooden grips complement the attractive two-tone finish. The pistol features an enhanced grip safety featuring a beavertail and raised "memory bump" for positive engagement. Streamlined and skeletonized, the Gen 2 Speed Trigger of the Ronin is designed for performance. Includes Hex Dragonfly red dot.

A great example of the 1911! Due to the large recoil of the 10mm round, the recoil spring is much heaver than on my other 1911s. The red dot optic takes some getting used to, but that will come with practice.

Purchased the Ronin for a multitude of reasons: 1) Love 1911's 2) Never owned or shot a 10mm 3) Have really taken a liking to red dot optics, my 1st on a 1911 4) Springfield Armory's awesome warranty 5) Sharp two tone finish. . Bud's got this right out and my LGS made the transfer, all went extremely well. I removed the slide plate, installed Dragonfly RDS and zeroed with a laser bore sight. Will add pics when time permits following the range trip.

This is the perfect platform for 10mm. Very accurate and even though the trigger is polymer it's a pleasure to shoot. It's an absolute gorgeous gun. The sight set-up is perfect and optics ready if your into that. Two thumbs up for sure.
