The TAC Ultra FS HC introduces a full tactical rail and is built with a double stack magwell with 17-round capacity. Like all Rock Island 1911s, this series is built with 4140 Ordnance steel and refined by our carefully managed hand fitting process. This pistol is chambered in 9mm with a 5” button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod and full dust cover. It's fitted with a skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel stop. The TAC Ultra is finished with a tough parkerzied matte coating and has battle ready G10 tactical grips. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the TAC Ultra comes with a crisp, factory 4- to 6-pound trigger to give you a great experience right out of the box.

At first glance the Firearm came to me great. But then I went shooting with it. After 3 magazines the optic as well as the front and back irons sights were all loose. At better examination the back iron sight screw was striped and could not tighten. It blows me away that it even left the factory. Horrible quality control, I will never make the same mistake again. Always go with the big guys, not RIA.

ARMSCOR 1911 ROCK OPTIC 9MM 5" 17-RD SEMI-AUTO PSTOL [51400R] First time at shooting range could not get pistol to shoot semi auto. Only single shot. After working on it file & polish chamber adjust ejector and sear spring and now has 3 lbs trigger pull smooth as butter. Took it to range second time shoots like dream. No malfunction eats everything 115 gr 124gr 147gr Fmj Hp I can't stop shooting it. Love to work on guns so first time out malfunctions didn't disappoined me at all. Four star for not functioning as it should first time out. Parts quality get 4 star quality control gets -1 star.

Great gun. A little heavy but feels great in my hands. Very little recoil. Shoots straight as an arrow. Red dot is great, holds the dot after 500 rounds. My only complaint is that the gun is advertised as coming with a fiber optic from sight and my was delivered with an iron front sight.

I have 2 big concerns about this firearm. This is only one trip to the range shooting about 300 rounds. 1. For some reason the gun would jam about once per magazine fired. I'm hoping it was bad ammo I've had around for 3 years but still once a mag is pretty bad (a few times it was twice a mag). It wouldn't eject the round so I would have to lock the slide take the mag out and shake the gun so the casing can pop out. 2. The red dot it came with is horrible... The screw to the batter cap popped off while shooting so can't use the red dot. And the description doesn't tell you what kind of red dot or footprint it uses so I found out once I got it that it's a propitiatory RIA red dot footprint so I can't pop a red dot I want on it without custom work. I will give an update with the jamming once I go shoot again with fresher ammo.

I bought this as an inexpensive entry into both the 2011 and red dot arenas. As an instructor I wanted to add a red dot to my repertoire. This gun has been a very pleasant surprise. It’s very accurate and shoots very well. It’ve not had a single malfunction after 150 rounds. Considering the price is an amazing bargain I am thrilled with the results.

Great pistol for the price! The Mec-Gar mag it came with runs good. The Para mags with Dawson bases I already had work as well. Sight that comes on it is fine. Works good. Trigger was decent. 4 inch groups from rest at 30 yards. 1 FTE in 100 rounds so far but it isn’t broke in good yet. Cleaned and oiled before shooting. All metal construction. I’m really happy with it. Great deal from Buds!!!!

accurate reliable. I think it came with a quart of oil. you will need Clean it before going to range. better documentation on the optic would be nice
