Today was the second time I had a chance to shoot my Mossberg 940 SPX and it was flawless again. I was shooting 1145 fps federal 00 buckshots with not a single problem:) Recently got a Beretta A300 , so I had a chance to compare them side by side and they are very similar shooters. Difference between the gun is what are you getting for the money. Mossberg 940 SPX comes very well equipped and no updates are required. Beretta A300 comes out of the box with nothing special and most likely you will start spending more money ( charging handle, forehand and…)

I recently bought this model. I shoot 60 rounds with it with no failures or jams. This shotgun is an awesome machine for the price. I considered to buy a Beretta before I found this one. Can't complaining. Best price and same quality as Beretta.

    Hi Douglas, the 940 Pro Tactical handles low brass just fine.
    In today's world of shotgun shells, the height of the brass does not directly correlate to the power of the load. It’s important to remember that the composition, not the height of the brass, determines the power of the shell. Some high-brass shells might contain the same load as low-brass shells, and vice versa.
    The velocity of the projectiles, the number of shots, and their size, are the important things to note about a shotgun round.
