The Kimber Micro 9 is a well-made, compact, easily concealable, and powerful self-defense weapon. Trigger pull is smooth and enhances accuracy. The weapon has minimal recoil, is accurate to 25 yards, and is highly accurate between 10 and 15 yards. The accompanying IWB holster is comfortable and easy to draw. I found the two magazines were difficult to load with seven rounds; it may be because the mags are new and the springs are tight. It is difficult enough that I may have to invest in an auto-loader. Finally, the slide lock requires a metal or hard plastic nib to push out. It would be great if Kimber included one of these tools. Altogether, I’m pleased with Bud’s Gun Shop, the Kimber product and design, the weapon’s performance, and the price of the weapon.

I was curious about this purchase because Im not a 9mm guy. But after purchasing this pistol. It has made me change my thoughts about 9's. Thanks Bud

I made this purchase on 10/25/25 I received it on or around 11/05/25 I took it out to the range and it miss fired 3 rounds out of the first mag. So I changed the type of ammo and it miss fired every round. these were Remington golden saber bullets this is what I would use when I carry. So at this point my son was shooting some Blazer ammo we tried that nothing. The firing pin was not hitting the primers hard enough to fire them. So after this I put it away and ended the day using my Browning HP, I ran every unfired round through it with zero problems. I tried to call Kimber and never got through to a human, but I did manage to get enough info from the recording to fill out a return for service order. After I sent it in it seemed to be taking a long time to hear from them so I sent an email to CS at this point I got an email saying I had a RMA # and would be getting a label in my email soon, it also said to check my spam folder if I didn't see it. Well its now 12/09/25 and no label yet. If you send your firearm to Kimber for repairs according to their instructions it will take about 2 months to get it back I find this to be ridiculous.I have never owned a Kimber before this is my first one, and I am sure my last one. I bought a Taurus a couple years ago and it was under 200.00 and it has never had a problem running any type of ammo. As for the 1911 micro I always wanted one as a friend carried a colt in .45 so I was excited to get this one. I will end up taking to a local gunsmith for repairs, I also found the injector spring to be very stiff and hard to deal with while pulling the slide back and putting it back in after cleaning the firearm. I do like the look and feel of the firearm I am thinking it will make a really good carry piece if I can get it to work like it should. I have had a few folks at the range who use Kimbers and have had great luck with them, I guess I just got the lemon but still they need to work on their return and repairs system.
