Hi, I purchased this Spotting Scope because of the price, also because it was not Rubberized on the Outside . Recently a lot of merchandise us being produced Rubberized and all that does is it starts to Decompose, and the owner has to keep cleaning it or Rehydrating the Rubber on it. My opinion is that Companies use a different kind of Rubberizing Material that Decomposes Quick, Not like the Good Old Days that Rubber was meant to last. Since the Decomposition of this Rubber makes it get Sticky People tend to buy it again. I just don't support this type of manufacturing and Sale. My main reason for buying this Scope was that it did not come Rubberized, and it didn't. Beside that point , the Scope is Awesome for the Price, I wish I could've bought a More Expensive but, I believe we all have Budget.
