• Q: I'm getting an exception when I checkout with this gun. I live in WA, but according to HB 1240 this gun falls under pump action. and defaults to not being considered an assault weapon. I'm unclear how this is triggering a mag limit as those only apply to semiauto weapons.

  Hi Kevin, The differences between the DP-12 Gen II and the first-generation DP-12 shotguns are in the new contour of the barrels and the new patented polymer and aluminum frame making it lighter. Otherwise, they are the same. The MSRP of Standard Manufacturing DP-12 Gen II shotgun is $1,495, the same as the price of a first-generation DP-12 in a similar configuration.

• Q: I know that NY has a mag limit of 10 rounds and this shotgun has 2 mags of 7 rounds each. Does the fact that you do not have to manually switch between the 2 mags put this shotgun over the mag limit ?

  Nicholas, the NY safe act does not apply to pump action shotguns. The dp12 is good to go because it has two magazines with a capacity of 7 rds each. If it was a semi-auto, it would be banned for the reason you questioned, not having to manually switch from one mag to the other. Have a great day!

• Q: What's the difference between this gun and the one they’re selling for $1299.00. The specs look similar. They’re both made by the same company.

  Frank, this is a matter of how many of each UPC code is in stock. Buds prices are tied to stock level and a higher stock same/similar model can be lower priced than a lower stock model. Cheers and stay safe!
