I use to own Barretta’s because my friends pressured me into thinking Italian made guns were best. However after owning one American model Ruger I found they were much lighter in weight and easier to grip and aim. They have less recoil and are 100% less expensive for best quality handgun made.

Incredible compact 9mm for the money! Wow... Fully ambidextrous too, mag release, thumb safety, and even the slide stop! Very smooth action, but haven't been to the range (...yet).

The Ruger American Compact 9mm appears to be well made, feels good in my hand, and is a pleasure to shoot. This gun, along with its sister the Ruger America Duty 9mm, are hands down the nicest Ruger auto pistols I own. Bud's Gun Shop's price and services were great. Shipment to my local FFL dealer was speedy and efficient. Overall, a good experience.

My first purchase from Buds Gun Shop. Had always seen great reviews from Hickok45 and I would have to agree. Bud's Gun Shop was excellent! Super fast shipping and product was as described. I absolutely love this gun. Very smooth feel when firing. I have put about 100 rds down range with no issues what so ever. Gun has chewed up every type of ammo I've put through it. It is a bit top heavy but nothing that impedes my ability to shoot and shoot comfortably. I feel 100% confident using this gun as a CCW. Buy this gun with confidence!

I was looking for something a little more concealable, but wasn’t really comfortable with smaller compacts. The American compact has a nice solid feel to it. This is not my first Ruger and it is exactly what I’ve come to expect, reliable, accurate and a great value for the money!
