I have an Armscor Rock Island Armory 1911A1 XT-22 Magnum that is finicky about cycling certain ammo brands. The owners manual recommends using nickel-plated brass cases to ensure maximum reliability. ArmscorPrecision/USA makes a 22WMR cartridge that is nickel plated, and they they cycle well. One of the biggest problems is finding affordable ammo with nickel-plated cases. Based on a tip I read on a forum somewhere, I use One Shot Case Lube to help regular brass cartridges cycle without issue. I simply dump a box of 22 Magnum cartridges into a small cardboard box or a plastic bag, and then spray them with Hornady One Shot Case Lube. Let them dry for 15-20 seconds and then re-box, unless I plan to shoot them right away. Results: no failures to feed and no failures to eject. Works like charm!
