  The 590 Shockwave offers legendary Mossberg pump-action reliability in a compact 14 inch-barreled package. This firearm incorporates all of the features which have made Mossberg pump-actions the choice for millions worldwide: ambidextrous safety, dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, twin action bars, and a smooth operating anti-jam elevator. Unique to the Shockwave, the Raptor "Bird’s Head" grip is designed to minimize recoil, as well as bring the overall length of the firearm down to just over 26 inches, making it a perfect fit for vehicles and other tight-quarters situations.

The entire process with Bud's was, as always, fast and smooth. This little beast is really cool, it's the first 12ga I've been able to shoot one-handed, although if you try this make sure you're some place where it is safe to try this and you have a strong enough grip to hold on to it. This shotgun doesn't seem to kick nearly as much as any of my full size shotguns. This is great for home defense. It's small, easily maneuverable in tight spaces like hallways or small rooms. You won't be dissatisfied with this home invasion welcome package.

Seems to be a well made/machined shotgun but the action is super stiff. I’ve cleaned it and lubed it with some CLP but still stiff. I hope it loosens up after firing, I’ll post more after I have 100 rounds through it.

It's a mossberg so you know its great! The shockwave is something on another level. Of course it functions properly. The first few rounds its a little stiff but it gets really smooth. Tight tolerances do that. With a brace its a dream to shoot. Its a fun addition to the collection. Buds as always was great to work with, they're the only place I shop for firearms now.

Great shooter. I put in the adapter so it can chamber shortly shells. Fits neatly under the backseat of my truck. Sling attachments make it handy for a SHTF situation.

    ✘ Firearms with a stabilizing brace that are not rifles or shotguns that are designed to be fired from the shoulder, regardless of barrel length.
    ✘ Smoothbore (non-rifled) barrel firearms with a pistol grip, regardless of barrel length, including, but not limited to, the Mossberg Cruiser, Mossberg Shockwave, Remington Tac-14, Henry Axe, etc.

    Hi Jose and welcome. You will get lower velocity with the 14 inch barrel but still have plenty of stopping power. The 14 inch barrel model will be quicker handling and more maneuverable in close quarters. Higher velocity for the 18.5 and slower handling. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

It is neither a long-gun nor a handgun. Only long-guns can be sold to those under 21 years old so this firearm can not be sold to anyone under 21 years old. Cheers and stay safe!
