I LOVE 1911's, and have owned everything from Rock Island to Springfield to Dan Wesson. For the price, this is one of the nicest and most capable 1911's out. 1 warning...the front strap serrations are painfully aggressive....like a puppy Malinois biting into your hand.

This pistol is a beast. VERY HEAVY if you are wondering about edc. It is definitely a task oriented tool. That said it is real high quality and very well built. I guarantee you can shoot thousands of rounds through this bad boy. It is really accurate even with surplus ammo. You can load a pocket full of mags and run through them and this huge barrel is barely warm. I am not real sure that it matches its price tag but it seems someone definitely gave mine some close attention before shipping it off. It comes in a really nice hard case and is very impressive when you open it! I guarantee you will impress your friends with it. It is a jaw dropper especially when you are shooting quarter size groups at 25 yards. Yeah, nevermind it matches the price point. Lol. Get it. Sweetest production 1911 out there.

Incredibly happy with this purchase. I researched and contemplated which firearm to get for a couple years (my first handgun) before settling on this fine piece of machinery. The fit and finish on this gun is remarkable. I have an appreciation for every feature on this gun, and I have even gotten used to the quirky takedown method (I created a tool by bending a finishing nail). I am not sure what the big deal about the front strap checkering is... I love it! The ONLY thing I wish that Springfield did with this gun is to zero the sights from the factory. As a new shooter, I was not sure if the groupings I first shot were because of the sights or my grip technique/trigger pull. I have since bought a $10 bore sighter to take myself out of the equation. Oh, and Buds was fantastic to work with!

Is it worth the money?!? Absolutely! I shopped for my first 1911 for a couple of years, trying to educate myself on brands, quality, value, etc. Then I found the Springfield TRP. I don’t have one bit of buyers remorse. I have only put 200 rounds down range, and this gun shoots like a dream right out of the box. Another 300 rounds and I’ll have an even better feel for the trigger which breaks like glass. You won’t go wrong buying this gun, especially with the great deals that BudsGunShop.com has to offer! I was shocked how smooth the process went. Anyways, if you’re interested...I highly suggest the TRP.

Buds shipped fast. Had a question about the order before it shipped and they were able to answer all of my questions. Got the pistol for what I feel is a good price since most stores had them for $100’s more. The pistol itself is fantastic. No machining marks, fit is very tight. Shot 300rds the first day with zero issues and three different brand mags. Sights were on right out of the box but I changed it to poa/poi unlike sa’s 6 o’clock hold. You don’t get a holster and mag carrier like other pistols from them have. It is comically heavy which makes for a very soft shooting pistol but pretty much a range toy unless you want to lug around a boat anchor on your hip. I’ve only had about 15-20 1911’s and this is by far my favorite.

The TRP TACTICAL WITH THE LIGHT RAIL PC9105L is an excellent out of the box weapon to fire. It is smooth and groups very nicely at 23 feet. It is easy on the hands and the trigger doesn’t bite when you fire. It is very tight out of the box and scratches the barrel pretty good when you initially shoot, not crazy about that part. It came with a number engraved on the barrel as well, don’t know what that is. Otherwise it is awesome.

Just got my TRP and it is much better than I thought it would be. Very high quality and workmanship! AND very smooth process with Buds. This is my second gun ordered from Buds and I can't say enough about how their great service and how good their prices are!!!
