The Henry all weather 45 long Colt is one of my favorite rifles I own so much fun and recoil hardly noticeable that is why I think I like it so much . It is such a beautiful rifle and no recoil .a real pleasure to shoot .I feel like I own a piece. Of history I know I will enjoy it for years then pass it on to one of my grandkids as always buds made buying this rifle an easy process

    Joseph, Yes you can do that. Henry has a picatinney receiver mount specifically for this model. the mount attaches with three screws and has medium-height scope rings. I was ready to shoot the Big Boy. I had Henry send me a Picatinny receiver mount, which attaches with three screws. With medium-height scope rings, I was able to get a nice cheek weld while looking through the scope. I used a Leupold VX-2 2-7x28mm Ultralight scope with a Duplex reticle. It weighs just 8.5 ounces and is only 10 inches in length. It has precise 0.25 MOA finger click adjustment for windage and elevation and seemed perfect for the All-Weather.

    Irv, try Buffalo Bore, Garrett, or Underwood ammo.
    I like Buffalo Bore and Garrett with the +P loads they have. All three of these manufacturers produce excellent ammunition that has plenty of energy and less drop at 100 and 100+ yards than other manufacturers. Bud's carries Buffalo Bore ammo at a good price. Hope that helps you.
