Henry 45-70 single shot rifle. I added this specific model to my collection of Henry firearms. I may never actually fire it. The wood is beautiful and the overall finish of the rifle is outstanding. This gun is amazing. Built with quality, stock is smooth and looks great. For such a big round this thing is a tack driver. 100% on deer so far. Put a scout scope on which I’ll take it off because the eye relief is too much for this firearm. The picatinny accessory from Henry installed well for easy on and off of the scope. 100% would but this gun over and over.

This was my first Henry rifle. I love it. Bud's has great service and great selection of rifles. I shot some 275 grain, not bad, then shot 405 grain and your shoulder will feel it. Can't wait to use on some hogs.

Just a beautiful gun in addition to being a great caliber for just about any open sight hunting. I own 3 calibers of this model and each of them is a pleasure to have and shoot. I recommend this rifle to any hunter who is into real hunting, one shot and a solid hit or the animal gets away, the way it was in the 1800s. none of this semi-auto shot after shot spraying all over an area. Hunting has lost the challenge of the stalk and one shot only. This is how I hunt and how my father hunted.

Wonderful firearm! The walnut stock is superb, and just as good as the ones you see on Henry Lever Actions. I've had the firearm for about a year now, and have had the opportunity to put about 100 rounds through it.
I used it initially with iron sights, which worked very well. However, I hunt in areas that can benefit from using a scope. I mounted a Vortex Crossfire II 3x9x40 on a EGW rail. EGW makes a rail specific for this model. Please note that you'll have to knock out the rear sight with punch to get this to set correctly.

I handload for this single-shot, and have been able to produce great results with H322 and bullets ranging from 300g to 350g. The trigger is smooth, and the overall feeling of the rifle feels sound and sturdy.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great woods gun, or anyone looking to get into the nostalgic 45-70 game.

100% satisfaction with this purchase. Henry's motto is "made in America or not at all" and I shows . The quality is outstanding , the bluing is deep and the wood is gorgeous. I added a Leopold Vx3 50mm scope and took two P.A whitetails with it.

Sweet rifle, swift shipping. Would have been nice if the recall from Henry would have already been done. As it was we received the rifle and immediately had to send back to Henry. In the defense of Henry they have always met and exceeded their satisfaction guarantee and did work needed in a timely fashion. Great dealing with Buds as always too.
