Gun shoots fine, however, our unit is very stiff with the action and trigger is very heavy. Difficult for my daughter to use. The size, weight, and length of pull are excellent for our use case. Need to be willing to spend the time pulling the trigger, breaking open action a lot to get to smooth out a little.

I purchased for my daughter to learn skeet shooting as one of her life skills (she did the violin, ballet, and gymnastics so this was next on the list). Nice light weight and smooth action. I just had her work the mechanics of loading, shooting, unloading, and safe handling at this stage of training. The gun was perfect and the 20 gauge gave her a little kick (suprise!) but nothing too harsh to scare her away from shooting. We worked on part familiarization and breaking the shotgun down for cleaning. This 555 Compact is very easy to clean (as most shotguns are, right?) and she had no issues once she learning how the parts work together to make it go bang. Buds has continued to be my gun store of choice as they take care of (us) customers. Really liked the email updates of the status of my order, even with the additional "order delayed due to COVID" emails--by keeping me informed I am OK with delays due to circumstances out of their control - I just need to know. And that is what Buds does and that is why they continue to be #1; it's all about the service and how they treat you. Thanks Buds!

Beautiful gun. Have not been able to shoot it yet, but it is certainly a nice looking shotgun. It was shorter and lighter in weight than I expected.

The gun got here quick. Nice shotgun. All the fitting work and the wood is nice. I took it to the range and it shoots well. Looking forward to getting some rabbits now

The gun shot great. Kicks like a mule for a 20 gauge but that was expected being such a light gun. Product was delivered in great condition and pretty quick considering the circumstances with covid19. Overall very pleased. The FFL dealer it was shipped to wasn't very happy that there wasn't any ffl info from buds shipped with the gun. Will definitely order from buds again.

Great little gun! Excellent for quail and woodcock hunting. Easy to carry on all day hunts. My new favorite shotgun! I’m a smaller guy and it fits me great! Would be perfect for a youngster!

I've been shooting 12ga pumps & SxS all my life but this was my 1st 20ga & 1st O/U shotgun. Build & wood quality is very high for the price point & the break-over action is very tight out of the box. I actually worked it open & closed for a few days prior to putting any rounds through it. We like to shoot clay out at our farm & the 555 is a favorite with all of us...light weight & easy to handle in 20ga, plus the compact size is popular with the girls(I just add a Limbsaver for more LOP). All said I am very happy with the selection & purchase, highly recommend.
