This gun seems great so far but I am very mad that the finish started flaking off the barrel after 100 rounds . Shoots good but don’t know if my warranty will cover the paint peeling

Just got this sweet rifle today, haven't fired it yet, but it's every bit of what's advertised, and I'm sure it will do well on the range. It is my third or fourth purchase from Buds, and holds true to their reputation for fast delivery and a reliable product.

This is a sweet rifle. It kept a 4 inch group at 40’ the first box of 20 that I put through it. It has all of the things I would have been inclined to buy aftermarket. PMAG magazine, MBUS flip up sight and MAGPULL Stock. I will never put a laser or red dot on it though even if it did come with the rail. It’s accurate as hell and just a blast to shoot with the iron sights. I can’t wait to shoot it at a longer distance, the range I belong to was closed for maintenance and the one I went to is only 40’.

So today i finally got to beak-in and shoot this beutiful and accurate M&P Port 2 at the range....Shooting first with .223 and then 5.56 and all i can say and the trainer near me is that it was a simple tweak to the Strikefire2 sights with magnifier and at 50yards this Rifle was shooting beutiful groups in the red zone,no malfunction,very acurrate today was using eagle(aguila 55grain)trainer and i were surprised how acurrate outta the box it was...Totally recommend this my first rifle but is my third firearm buy on Buds dont regret a single purchase.So there you got it,remember to buy the one with magpul handguard so you dont, have to buy it later cause the originals heat up quickly and will heat up your hand.Please change the hand grip before you go to the range the original is aweful as well...Everything Magpul on it i put on and its light and cool and accurrate...Much accesories for them to customize at your free will..The most impressive part was cleaning up the rifle...OMG it is so simple to break down quick clean every part and put back together so quickly im ready to go again to the range ...What are you waiting for grab 1 while they last!

I use this rifle for fun shooting and it is a joy. Well designed and easy to operate right out of the box, the relatively inexpensive ammo allows me to purchase more rounds for extra time at the range. I've fired the AR-15 and this rifle compares very favorably. I'd recommend this rifle highly and Bud's, as usual, does an outstanding job of geting my purchase to me.

    Mike, yes, this has your standard AR-15 safety. The no safety is a typo on buds end. Hope this helps.

    David, buds will not pin the magazine or ship the Magazine to have it pinned. They would only remove the magazine but not replace it. With that said though even if buds removed the magazine this still wouldn't be compliant in new York state due to the Pistol grip, collapsible stock, threaded barrel and flash hider.     Yes, this is not set up ambidextrous but you can swap parts on just about any AR-15 to make it ambidextrous. You can buy a ambi safety, ambi magazine release, and ambi charging handle. The only thing left that wouldn't be ambidextrous is the forward assist, Wich is rarely used and the bolt catch/release. But you can even buy a Magpul bad lever Wich is a bolt catch extender, Wich extends the bolt catch down in front of the trigger so you can manipulate it with your trigger finger. So pretty much the only thing left not ambi would be the forward assist Wich again unless you don't plan on Cleaning your firearm or plan on shooting in dusty/Sandy areas it's not really needed. So yes you can definitely swap parts to make this ambidextrous. Hope this helps.
