  Yes, according to the RIA (Armscor) website FAQ's, all of their firearms are +P rated!
  "Yes all of our guns are +p ammo ready, but please use only when necessary."

• Q: Do all 38 super 1911s have the big Rock Island Armory billboard on the slide? Was this just on older pistols?

  your problems with caliber swaps in 1911s are that most 1911s use a throated barrel not a ramped barrel. the feed ramp is part of the frame and they are cut differently for each caliber also the ejector would have to be replace with the proper ejector (ejector is pinned in place) extractor would not be a issue as the extractor is part of the 1911 slide assembly and the 38 super magazines will work just fine for 9mm I use my 38 super magazines in my 9mms all the time. It can be done but it would be better to get a dedicated 9mm and be happy

  Yes it will Mike, I have the standard model (Non CA Compliant) and so far no issues with any Hollow point ammunition.
• Q: Will a Wilson Combat Ramped Match Grade 38 super barrel function in the RIA 38 super gov. 1911?

  I believe the older RIA 38 super used a non-ramped barrel and the new ones use a Clark/Para cut ramped barrel. The Wilson/Nowlin cut is different and will not fit. Get the pistol before you order a barrel to see which it is.

  same basic gun but this model was submitted to the state of CA (and RIA paid for) testing to be added to the CA DOJ approved list

  all 38 super is +P Since the 70's, the 38 Super cases have been designated +P, showing they are more powerful that the .38 Auto (.38 ACP) that appears the same size. .

  Dave, it MUST be 38 Super. It is NOT 38 special which it is often confused with.
