update on the pinky pinky extensions I could not find any for the sub compact 9 round mags (they appear to be built into the higher capacity mags) I would contact springfield and ask them Call 1-800-680-6866

The pistols are identical. The magazine configuration is different due to state restriction on magazine capacity. The true price difference is due to stock levels. Stock levels play a part in wild price swings Andrew-Jay. I have seen high cost high stock firearms ridiculously close in price to lower cost low stock similar firearms and vice versa. If you get in tune with the inventory level game, you can save hundreds on firearms from Buds. *****Note - as stock numbers go up and down, prices follow the opposite suite).

The XD 3" Sub-Compact from Springfield Armory is designed to bring you the most in a concealed carry pistol. Its superior ergonomics, reliable performance, and astonishing capacity combine to put more into a concealable pistol than you will find anywhere else. The barrel is 3" and the frame is a short, compact size that will let the pistol nearly disappear when you carry it. The striker status indicator, loaded chamber indicator, grip safety, Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System and internal firing pin block bring the safety.
