Over 500 rounds of various ammunition and this 1911 ate them all effortlessly. Gun has a little rattle, not as tight as the loaded or TRP but it works just fine. Only issue i had was cosmetic after the first 150 rounds the lower was scratching the slide during cycling leaving a mark near there spring plug so i sent it back to Springfield for repair and apparently eliminated the issue. Next issue; sight came completely off after 300 rounds but i fixed that myself. Despite those issues the gun ran flawlessly

Nice basic 1911 for the price. On par with the parkerized loaded models for fit and finish. Cycles well, feeds smoothly and ejects cases with no problems. The back edge of the thumb safety was sharp and needed additional radius filing to not irritate when firing the gun. Slide to frame fit is not perfect and has a slight bit of play and will rattle when shaken, but overall better than most production 1911s. Frame is forged with no series 80 style parts which is a big plus. The case is a very nice, almost Pelican like style. When compared to others in this price range, it gets a 5 or 5.

Put 500 rounds through it without a single jam. I mostly used brass fmj, but tried aluminum and steel cases and all performed well. This is a great gun for a great price. The sites are much nicer than the ones on the Range Officer. I just ordered a match trigger, other than that, this gun is perfect. I definitely recommend this gun. Buds sent the package two day express, but it took them a week to process the order. Instant gratification is not something you will receive, never the less, its well worth the wait. Other items I've ordered through Buds have arrived promptly.

What can I say? This gun is awesome. I have put 150 runs thru this gun without one failure to feed. I also have the 9mm version of this gun. I could not wait to order this gun when I heard that Sringfield finally produced this variation of the range officer. My only question is what took them so long? I cannot wait for my next opportunity to take this gun to the range again.

There is no DOUBT that the Gun ROCKS!!! It came in PERFECT, and I believe IMHO to be the best 1911 UNDER $1100.00, Period. Everything is as it should be from tightness to free firing round after round (I put 200 through it today). That being said about the gun, I was disappointed with BUDS, as when I called to make the order the girl who took the order told me it would be processed in 48 hours then shipped. IT took 7 days to process before it left Buds and I was MAD!!! If they had told me that up front, I would NOT have purchased the gun from them as I had an appointment for my Carry permit on Wed. (today). Communication was BAD, no reply to emails and I just got pushed off from one person to the other person when I called. I told the girl I ordered from how important it was that I have my gun before Wed. and she promised it would be NO PROBLEM, SHE LIED, LIED, LIED!!! I doubt I will ever order from BUDS again, if for no other reason but for the lack of communication during the process. ON their part; however, they MUST have read my emails, as it turned out when they processed it on Monday and shipped, it went out RED LABEL (Next day) instead of there standard BLUE (second day), which makes me think someone felt guilty at the last second. It Got here Tuesday evening, and Guns and Leather had it available ONE HOUR BEFORE THE STORE CLOSED!!! I did make it to my Carry Permit Class on time today. For all you out there who look at the reviews on Buds service and see the claims "I got my gun 2 days after I ordered it from BUDS" on the comments or reviews, take a minute to look at the date when it was published, there mostly 4 years old (2012, 2011, 2013). I can assure you it is NOT like that now, and if the price is worth a 10 day wait before they ship to you then O.K., just know it is NOT like the OLD DAYS when it shipped in two days, those days are GONE!!!
