Awesome gun. Near perfect combo of features except for the thin grips.

Flawless! This is a wonderful example of what a 1911 should be. Excellent fit & finish. This will be thrown in my CCW rotation with pleasure. Love the blend of classic 1911 lines and useful modern touches for carry. There are several 1911s in this price range that are excellent choices as well. But, this CCG does such a damn fine job of being a versatile tool. 10/10 all day. Thank you Bud's as well, for one of the best gun purchasing experiences I've had!

Second purchase from Buds and it was again seamless. Great price and great service. Again, Buds exceeded expectations. The Colt 1911 CCG came out of the box with a great trigger and it showed at the range. Exceptionally accurate gun. The fiber optic front sight is a big help getting on target. Accurate and through 240 rounds of 230gr FMJ, 230gr JHP and 200gr JHP it was 100% reliable. Gun was absolutely filthy when I finished and still ran. Amazing gun and amazing service from Buds. I am VERY happy with this purchase.

Oh, I like this one. No hammer to bob, no grip safety to change, just ready to go out of the box. Good finish, good fit, good trigger. Yes, I have custom guns with better finish, better fit, and a bit better triggers, but a I like this Colt! The fiber optic is a 0.1 inch rod that creates a 0.125 green dot to look at. The only downside is that 0.1 inch fiberoptic rod is harder to come by in bulk. I believe it is a Novak mega dot fiberoptic, and pre-made inserts are available, but bulk (foot long or more) 0.1 inch fiberoptic is harder to find. In fact, you can buy Novak f.o. For this sight but not online, you have to call Novak. The archery sites don't seem to carry 0.1 inch either. But that is just the sight.the rest of the gun I like.

Great Colt, had two FTF but it was the mags that came with it. Bought a Wilson mag and no issues now. The fiber optic sight takes time to get use to but planning to replace either way. The bluing is in good condition, not blemishes or artifacts. The barrel is a National Match barrel which was not in the description so thats a great bonus. The MSH is plastic so that's the only issue with it. For a Colt 1991 it doesn't have any of the 1991 features. Has a classic 1911 look with the beavertail and vertical serrations. Great choice, buy it if you can. Supposely a limited run of 800.

The gun shoots as good as it looks. I love my 1911s and theres a lot to love with this one. I fired nearly 150 rds. today and had NO malfunctions. I tried CMC power mags, some Checkmate and the Colt 8rd. "Checkmates" that came with it. This one likes WWB FMJ and Golden Saber in 230gr. The pistol has no issues, so far. I've done business several times through Bud's and have always been pleased with their service...Buy!

Just received the Colt "TALO 1991 CC" pistol. I truly was expecting something a bit more "one of a kind". It is still a very nice pistol but it doesn't really stand out like many of the TALO models of the past. I have a 1991 standard model and there is not a great deal of difference. On my original 1991 out of sheer boredom, I ordered and installed upsept grip safety, Three Hole Trigger and different grips. Except for the grips, they are identical. All of the add ons, you could do easily for about $150 and you would not be able to tell the difference. I think Colt could do a better job on these "special editions" i.e. better grips, fitted barrel bushing, night sights, checkering(front and rear) full length guide rod and, eventhough I know it will never happen, a 4lb trigger. Wilson, Ed Brown and Les Baer all do the things that make a "special" pistol and Colt could, and should, pay a little more attention to the little things. Makes putting up $1000( ) a little easier. Still, it is a Colt-4 stars
