CZ 527 lux in 222 rem. Beautiful ,well made. Bolt drags hard and it is a hunting rifle, not a target rifle. Sent it back to factory, they changed the magazine, no reason i'm aware. Bolt still drags near the rear. Buds gun shop 5 star CZ touts the Lux as winning more awards than any other light rifle in Europe. I'll bet it's on looks and not accuracy. I have a CZ 527 varmint in .17 hornet that is great. Buds service is 5 star, The Saturday sales lady looked up some info for me as the service dept was closed.

Purchased my 527 LUX in 222 Rem caliber about a year ago from Buds. Very impressed with workmanship on this rifle. Only CZ I have. I did feel compelled to epoxy bed the action. After it shot loose a couple times. Bit of a chore but fairly standard. Chamber and bore dimensions are very precise and a joy to load for. I purchased this rifle for a cast bullet shooter and varmint hunter. It performs beyond expectations in this role. Loaded up 100 jacketed bullets to test and of course they shot fine. This action will cycle a round in every time as long as you pull the bolt all the way back first. Have about one thousand rounds through this rifle. Wipe it off and it looks new. No burnished in surfaces. It was smooth and correct right from the factory. As a retired machinist. I’d say this rifle is built as well as I could build it myself. Beautiful piece of work for a very reasonable price. Very satisfied user of this CZ rifle.

This past Christmas (2014); I purchased from Bud's Guns one CZ Model 527 LUX rifle in .222 Remington. Can't begin to tell how I am very much PLEASED with this CZ model, in that it is a very accurate shooting rifle, with a very smooth action. One of the most accurate .222 Remington rifle I've ever owned. Thanks to All of the folks, at Bud's Guns, for their fast service, and offering a fine product. I rate this rifle and Bud's service a full GOOD +++++

This gun shot 5/8 inch groups right out of the box with cheap ammo and open sites! The bolt is smooth and easy to cycle without any looseness. The magazine holds 5 rounds and it's easy to load. I like how the action is scaled down to match the size of the round. It's a lightweight gun that balances well and it's easy to carry. I was surprised the barrel is as long as it is, the gun doesn't look that long. The set trigger is great, very light and smooth. The stock was nicely finished and I liked the checkering, it seems to be shaped right to shoot with open sites or a scope. Wonderful little gun, I'm impressed.
