The 9mm Critical Defense® Lite™ load features a 27% reduction in recoil compared to standard loads and provides 10” of penetration in ballistic gelatin through heavy clothing.

Designed with the same proven components as our Critical Defense® line of ammunition, this offering features a 100 grain FTX® bullet with a unique PINK Flex Tip®! The pink bullet tips and pink ribbon packaging help signify that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Critical Defense® Lite™ will go to help fund breast cancer research.

Got this for my wife and son's girlfriend because it's high quality Hornady Critical Defense and they love it because it's pretty in pink. Works for me, as long as they're happy and I know it will do its job no matter how pretty it is. Still haven't seen how it holds up to the reduced recoil claim because it's too freaking hot in San Antonio to want to go outside. Once it cools off, though, I'll be making up for lost range time for sure.

I bought these for my wife to use in her daily carry. They are very pleasant to shoot. I guess we will have to see if they have the stopping power I suspect they do but luckily she has nit had to use it.

Wife wanted a small, "cute" gun- but hared shooting her defensive loads at the range, so her training suffered a bit. Theses feed and function well and the recoil difference of 115 ball and these rounds is negligible at best- Hopefully I can keep her from shooting these up in lieu of the range ammo. Great stuff. and a proven design excellent for sub compact autos

I have nothing but positive things to say about these rounds. They cycle perfectly through my g19, g43x, sig p365x macro, and hellcat pro. The rounds definitely take away a little bit of the snappiness of the recoil and make it easier to get consistently fast and tight groups.
