This is a Walther PK380, short-recoil operated semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380ACP. It is produced Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen in a joint venture with Smith& Wesson. This example features a 6-round magazine, fixed-white dot front sight, adjustable 2-dot rear sight, an integral accessory rail, a slide-mounted, ambidextrous manual hammer-block, non-decocking safety and an external hammer. The magazine release is also ambidextrous using the Walther-style paddle release on the base of the trigger guard. The slide, barrel, and internal frame are steel, and the grip is polymer for reduced weight. Magazines are single-stack design holding 6 rounds giving the gun an 6+1 capacity.
