I bought this firearm as a secondary weapon. I currently carried the Bodyguard 380 but wanted something a little more substantial. At less than $200 with the rebate and the glowing reviews how could I say no? Even as a doorstop it would be a bargain! It’s everything you read about online, just about a copy of the Glock 26. My only issue was with the re assembly. Apparently it’s a common thing but when you put the slide back on it will not go all the way back unless you manually pull the trigger into its forward position. It’s not ALL the Stoeger guns that gave this issue but many of them do. Keep that in mind. Overall I’d buy this again.

Barely heard of the Stoeger STR 9 pistols so when I saw the rebate special at Buds, gave it a try. Wow, what an awesome shooter the STR 9 SC is. Everything about the pistol is on par with much more expensive brands. Quality, reliability and accuracy is as good as it gets bar none. It is a very comfortable shooter. Why people call it a budget pistol is price biased only. I could see this pistol bringing much higher prices for its quality. I refer to it as a super bargain not a cheap firearm.

Okay, So I love this little chunky thing. It shoots really flat, plus it can handle any ammo you throw at it. So far I have about 450 rounds through it.That’s only because the gun comes with one magazine,now that I have a 13 round magazine I can only see that round count climbing.

I have been able to run a couple hundred rounds through mine. I enjoy shooting this gun any chance I get and am extremely happy with the feel of the trigger and the ability to get right back on target after every shot. Great gun and I would recommend it to anyone. Stoeger did a great job and I am looking at getting the full size now.
