Well done!! My first "on-line" firearm buying experience ( S&W MP9 - 2.0 w/ 4" barrel) with Bud's was a most excellent experience. The item arrived at my FFL at the expected time and in good condition. Bud's "on-line" staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive to my need and concerns. I found Bud's "on-line" item description to be accurate and complete and I like the fact that their "approved FFL dealers" was listed on a convenient drop-down menu. Also, I appreciate that Bud's offers a law enforcement discount for retired law enforcement officers.

M2.0 definitely improves on the issues from the Gen 1. Grip texture is a lot better (like griptape) and definitely not as bad as others have complained about. And the trigger!!! Awesome!! I’d say no need for any aftermarket changes, except for maybe an Apex trigger shoe only, but definitely no Apex internals needed. I got the compact 4”, and will definitely replace my 4.25” later! And Buds service and ordering was quick, timely, painless and had the best price!

I like many were waiting for S&W to make a Glock 19 sized M&P. I was very happy to see them finally come out with it, especially at a mid $300 price point. That in itself is incredible. Everything on the pistol was well put together. No quality or finishing issues to speak of. I definitely like the grip angle of the M&P. I have carried a glock for years and have no issue with the glock grip angle, but the m&p does seem to point slightly more natural. The stock trigger is better than the 1.0 version and miles better than a glock trigger. I will admit I absolutely hate the style of trigger that s&w uses on the m&p. They need to switch to a glock style trigger(thankfully aftermarket companies solve this problem), but the actual feel of the press and break are a great improvement. It reminds you of a 2 stage AR trigger. It has a small amount of light take up with a slightly heavier but fairly clean break. When I say clean break I am comparing to other similar pistols. In no way do I mean a clean break as compared to a quality AR 2 stage trigger. The slide and rail are pretty straight forward. Very good quality as to be expected. Sights are decent for oem. All steel 3 dots, so definitely better than polymer sights. But unfortunately not up to my expectations so were quickly switched out for a set of Trijicon HD night sights. Probably one of the best aftermarket sights available. Reliablity and accuracy have been great. No malfuctions at all with approx 800rds. Accuracy is fantastic. This is something that struck me with my first m&p. They are like a laser beam. The point of contention I had was the grip texture. Although i am happy s&w listened and tried to fix the very slick 1.0 grips, they went quite overboard on the 2.0. The grip is so abrasive that it is actually difficult to get an initial grip when drawing, allowing your palm to index up the backstrap to get a proper grip is almost impossible. The grip is simply to tacky. Have no fear though, a little sandpaper will smooth the grip out a bit to a good happy medium. The biggest issue I have had is concealing the grip. Not because it is to large, but with the grips sandpaper texture(even with sanding it smoother) it constantly is snagging on the inside of your shirts and inching them up. With iwb you can pretty much avoid this, but with owb like i prefer this becomes very problematic and has been difficult to remedy. On the plus side though, the grip has a great shape that fits my hand very well. I have very thick hands from lifting so having the small grip insert to use makes a big difference in getting a good grip. Overall this is an exceptional quality pistol that i have no doubt will perform when needed. If s&w will make a less aggressive backstrap for the 2.0 compact, it will be just about perfect.

This has been a fantastic pistol so far. I've had nothing but good experiences ordering through Buds, and even though there was a shipment issue for this order (carrier's fault, not Buds), customer service took care of it and fixed the issue promptly. As for the M2.0, its a great all around pistol, functioning well as carry gun, home defense and range. I also own the previous generation of M&P9 and this is a good upgrade to the line. I've put well over 1k rounds through this firearm without a hiccup with various weights, manufacturers and bullets types. Great gun, great company to work with!

After reading many reviews on this pistol, I decided to add a 9mm to my EDC rotation. The pistol is everything as described and having bought from Bud's before, the price and transaction could not have been better or easier.

Great pistol! Got a tlr-1s on it and a Ragnarok holster with a qls system that mounts in my truck and on my duty holster. It came with 3 mags which is perfect. I was surprised at the fact that there was such a smooth recoil and the trigger is nice and smooth for me too. I don't get as bad of that bite under the trigger as my Glocks give me. Overall, it's one of the best guns you can get out of the box. Probably never going to change the spot on sights, the stippling is comfortable and strong and as far as accessories, almost everything from holsters to magazines to sights and accessories are cross compatability with the full size models. Great buy.

A very well-made gun, but after all, a Smith & Wesson. Mine needed a little break-in, about 100 rounds, but works like a champ now. It has 4 different sizes of backstrap for customizing the grip, which is nice. While it is a Compact size (but not really small), the gun has enough weight to it to mitigate recoil. The sights are excellent.

Very functional firearm. The texture is very aggressive and provide a very solid grip to control recoil. I'm not a fan of the trigger. It's not horrible (I was able to keep my first 15 rounds in a 1 inch group at 5 yards), but I like the triggers on my Glock and especially my Springfield XD-s much better. I understand from others that this trigger is much improved over the previous version, but since this is my first S&W pistol, I can't verify that. But for this price, I can overlook the feel of the trigger. I've put 300 rounds through it so far and have had zero malfunctions, so I can't complain. I'll give it 4/5 stars mainly because of the trigger.
