YES, this is fast enough for entering clays/skeet competitions. It comes with three chokes (Extra-full turkey, Modified, and Improved-Cylinder). For skeet shooting, you want to use a cylinder bore (no choke) or an Improved-Cylinder choke. Do NOT use Extra-full turkey or Modified cylinder choke for skeet. I hope this helps!

Eric, The gun is CT legal as is, but I assume you are talking about 3 round limit for hunting. This shotgun comes with a limiter plug installed that reduces its magazine capacity to two shells. It does not come with a plug, however buds CT compliance section list shotgun magazibe capacity at 5 rounds/shells, this shotgun is a 4+1. So it is good to go as is. Seems to be a pretty good shotgun for the money so far. Handles nicely, fit and finish is decent enough for the price. Have put 150 rounds through it at the range and had one FTE about halfway through, likely just a weak shell since no hiccups after that one. Buttpad is okay, if you're going to do a lot of shooting at one time a slip-on recoil pad would probably help. Overall at this point satisfied with it as a under $500 semi-auto shotgun, which with the 24" barrel seems a bit of a compromise between being a defensive gun, a hunting gun, shooting trap or clays, or for 3-gun use. It's probably not going to be the best at any of these but it's enough to use successfully for any of those activities.

It's a great shotgun, all in all. A semi auto using an intertial system (same as the Benelli M2), this thing eats even light loaded birdshot (Winchester Extra-lite target load). It has a wonderful aftermarket, meaning if the stock 4+1 capacity bothers you, you can run to moaprecision and get an extendo-tube and make it whatever you want. I plan on using it for 3 gun, which means I've got a ton of extras to make it more competitive. Though, as a stock shotgun, it does what it does well. Handles a good selection of ammo, is easy to take down, easy to modify, and will serve you well.
