Great rifle, fun to shoot expensive ammunition.

Bought it as a gift for my Dad’s birthday since he retired this year from his job. Recoil is stout but not as bad as I was expecting since it is a single shot rifle, we put a leupold rifleman scope on it and had it sighted in after half a box of ammo, it shoots well. Now if only 444 ammo was easier to find.

Awesome fun. Shoots true once sighted in properly. I didn’t keep it long but I enjoyed every minute I had with it. It’s a thumper on the table but standing upright takes the recoil down pretty well

I've wanted a .444 marlin for a long time but couldn't afford a $750.00 price tag folks want for a lever action model ( if I could one). I've used CVA rifles in the past and liked the quality for the Money spent. I really like this rifle...fit, finish and lock up are superb and the 25" heavy barrel and recoil pad really help to tame the felt recoil.
As always, buds was great to work with and they shipped it to my FFL dealer within a week. If you're looking for a .444 marlin rifle you can't beat this one for the price

    George, the CVA Hunter is built on a single shot break action that is stronger than other actions and should "Live" with BB Ammunition.     Tammy, yes, this rifle/caliber is excellent deer medicine. The.444 Marlun is essentially an elongated version of the .44 Magnum by making it nearly an inch longer to give it power similar to the .45-70.
