I bought this firearm for my son’s first deer hunt a couple years back. This is an amazing piece of equipment and he really took to it like a natural due to its high firepower but smaller profile. The kid is a crack shot with this firearm and easily bagged his first deer with it. He refuses to use anything else on our hunts and has never came back empty handed with this firearm in the field. I bought this gun for deer hunting in southern Michigan. It's well balanced for me and should be easy to carry in the field. I install a nikon prostaff scope which sighted in easily. I have only been able to run 1 box of ammo through it and was shooting 1" groups at just over 100 yd. The action is a little tight, this was expected after reading other reveiws, this has started to loosen up and I expect it to get better. I can't wait for Deer Season.
