I love this gun; it has become my bedroom house gun. Running 180 grain 10mm hollow points; with the SBT stabling brace, It is accurate with very little felt recoil which make putting multiple shoots quickly on target a breeze.
Would buy again and recommend to others. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

Mixed bag. One can't helping liking the delayed radial blowback design and all that comes with it. It seems to work, delivering a lower weight package that recoils less. This all seems to be very reliable. I shot about 85 rounds, mostly handholds, in my first and only session with it so far. There was not a single failure to feed or eject. Some of my groups suggest there could be some reasonable accuracy potential here, if the benchmark for comparison against a pistol caliber carbine is a quality pistol (eg, 1911) shot in a ransom rest -- ie, 1" five-shot groups at 25 yards being very good, as I got a few of these, using a test scope at 4x.
On the downside, the upper-lower fit is really unacceptable for an "AR" anywhere near this price range. There is more play side-to-side, and up-down, than any AR I've held, at any price. I installed an Accu-Wedge shim which helped but did not eliminate the problem, and this should not be necessary. I called CMMG, and the representative explained that this was because they make forged, not billet, receivers, to which I responded that all of my ARs are also forged and they are tight as can be, and cost less, so I know forged receivers can be a much tighter fit if they give a wit about doing it right.
Also on the downside, I got a fair amount of extremely bulged brass in a 1/8" ring around the base just above the extractor groove. All my handholds were within published limits and confirmed by chronograph, but several of them bulged so badly that I cannot reload them. In fact, several of them could not be forced through my Redding carbide push-thru base sizer without literally ripping my Rock Chucker press from the work bench onto which it's bolted. I called CMMG and did additional research, and I understand they have a partially unsupported chamber (oversized leade) for reliable feeding, and this it to be expected. I have to think they could have struck a better balance, or achieved the same level of reliability without so infringing on the expectations of handloaders for this much-handloaded cartridge (10mm).
The trigger is simply too heavy (gauged at 7.5 lbs), and also feels like you're throwing a long lever. It's pretty easy and just as cheap for factory to install a crisp 4 lb trigger which is totally safe -- look at any number of bolt action rifles off the shelf (Howa, for instance), or 1911s, and all the aftermarket AR triggers out there. You should not have to pay another $170 for a drop in trigger (I got a CMC 3.5 lb) to make this acceptable. I don't buy the lawyer argument. There are too many guns out there with factory 4 lb triggers or less, and those companies are doing just fine.
The coil spring for the ejection port dust cover is too long and sticks slightly past the opening and into the ejection port just enough to really cut your finger when you're in there cleaning. Because it protrudes a short distance, it's very hard to cut or file down -- impossible I think without removing, cutting, then reinstalling, and I don't have time for that sort of thing.
The firing pin is hard to get back into the bolt carrier assembly upon reinstallation after cleaning, because the side walls inside the bolt carrier pinch in to narrowly and scrape along the back of the firing pin, requiring you to push it through with some effort. There should be slightly more clearance there.
Finally, this is a bit nit-picky, but the buttstock should be tighter, without any play or rattle. The sych-down design would be a beneficial feature (just a button that tightens it against the buffer tube, like some of the Magpuls).
While I have a bunch of complaints and am rating this in the middle as average, I would still buy it again, due to the design and the lack of any real competition in that respect, as far as I know -- that is, if you want a pistol caliber carbine without just a standard blow-back design. It's just that it would have been easy for CMMG to fix / improve all or nearly all of these things without adding substantially to cost, and I can't rate this higher for that reason.

CMMG Banshee 10mm, what else can I say. Aesthetically I fell in love with this pistol. I like the way the 8 inch barrel looks better than the five. When I placed my order I could not wait for it to arrive. I sent an head and ordered ammo, extra clips and a Halosun red dot. Once the pistol arrived I could not keep my hands off of it. I took it to the range with my 11 yr old so. And we shoot 600 rounds. O issues what so ever, ran flawlessly. Accurate...... I can even begin to explain. My 11 yr old was tearing out the bulls eye at 25 yards, I was doing the same at 35. The. We started on the metal plates, seeing his smile as he rung plates at 25, 40,65, all the way out to 100 yards was priceless. Out the box this gun is going to be great for 95% of everyone. That small 5% may pick at the trigger, grip ect but that is just preference. I am am so please I am looking at getting the 5.7x28 next. As for purchasing from Buds, great service fast delivery will be buying from them again.
