I have had this gun since ruger started selling the hawkeye and found it to be extremely accurate which is really no suprise for being ruger since the m77 mark II is also accurate. i also have this rifle with a nikon buckmaster 4.5x14x40 and it has stayed zeroed for the past two seasons. same strong non rotating mauser action and a big plus in the trigger improvement. i would recommend a ruger hawkeye to anyone.

I took this rifle out to the range for the first time today. WOW!!! I fitted it with high Leopold Rifleman rings and a 4.5-14x40 Nikon Buckmasters scope. I only ran 20 rounds through it, (6 three shot groups and 2 two shot groups) and 5 of the 6 three shot groups were under 1.5 inches with three of them at 1 inch. Incredible for just coming out of the box. I am very pleased as usual with Ruger. 5 stars to the rifle itself. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 for the review is that it took almost 3 weeks to get here and I can not get any communication with any staff at Buds.
